Conversion Attribution
How Ring DAS attributes conversions to ad clicks using user identifiers.
Conversion Attribution
Conversion attribution is the process of linking a conversion event (like a purchase) back to the ad click that initiated the user's journey. Ring DAS uses user identifiers (LU, AID, EID) to track this relationship.
How Attribution Works
Step 1: Click Tracking
When a user clicks on an ad, the click is tracked via the Adclick API:
https://csr.onet.pl/{network}/trk/adclick/das,{lineitem},0?CS=tracking&lu={lu}
Example:
https://csr.onet.pl/6093132/trk/adclick/das,1844317,0?CS=tracking&lu=202601021108454216106685
| Parameter | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
{network} | Advertising network ID | 6093132 |
das | Format (fixed) | das |
{lineitem} | TRACKING line item ID | 1844317 |
0 | Creative ID (fixed) | 0 |
CS | Click source | tracking |
lu | User identifier for attribution | 202601021108454216106685 |
Step 2: Activity Event Tracking
When the user completes a purchase, send the purchased event to the Activity Pixel API:
https://csr.onet.pl/{network}/activity?event=purchased&lu={lu}&ord={order_id}&cost={total}&...
Example:
https://csr.onet.pl/6093132/activity?lu=202601021108454216106685&npa=0&actgid=63827&event=purchased&ord=02327411337&qty=2&cost=1598&tax=298.82&sitetype=cart&products=[...]
Step 3: Attribution Matching
The Ring DAS attribution engine matches user identifiers from the purchase event to the click event:
- LU - Anonymous local user ID
- AID - Hashed email set by Ring DAS
- EID - Hashed email provided by client
Attribution logic:
- Same identifier value = Same user
- Within attribution window = Valid attribution
- Conversion credited to the line item from the click
